Song=Pine Tree (sturdy and long lived)

Ho = Crane
(bird of peace and longevity)

Sickness is a loss of balance in the person’s energy system… Bringing balance to the patient just means restoring this natural flow of life energy. When we locate and open up a blocked area, we are to obtain very good results, even in serious cases.

CENTER SERVICES

Acupuncture Therapy
Is an unsurpassed therapy for chronic and acute illnesses. Stress relief is automatic and weight loss is a frequent “side effect” of health restoration through acupuncture. Our popular signature treatment is Tiny Needle Therapy, which is very effective for all types of pain problems. Those with allergies and sinus issues also respond quite well to acupuncture treatment.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
More and more people are discovering how safe and effective traditional Chinese herbal formulas are for practically any disorder. When chosen correctly by a trained professional, Chinese Medicines protect and balance your body, while obeying the maxim: Do no harm.

Qigong and Tai Chi (China’s Traditional Healing Exercises)
Nearly everyone can learn the ancient, self-healing and self-balancing exercises from China. Until you experience qi (chi) exercise, you cannot fathom the power and the pleasure of peaceful movement for body, mind, and spirit. The healing power, mind/body unification and age-defying effects from qigong (or chi kung) and tai chi practice have been clinically validated.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe in the power of self-healing and preventing disease by treating the problem early (before a hill becomes a mountain). We strongly support client self-empowerment through education and action.

THE PRACTIONERS

Nianzu Li, L.Ac.

Nianzu Li, L.Ac. (Maryland) Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong/Tai Chi Master, Song Ho Health Center Founder/Director:

Nianzu Li is classically trained in all aspects of traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture, herbal medicine and qigong exercise therapy. He has been in practice for 43 years.

Li is fortunate to have learned the old way-directly from a master, the distinguished Dr. Yangzhong Shang (of Beijing) of the Shang lineage, the Imperial Family Physicians. Li originated Tiny Needle Therapy and utilizes numerous healing approaches and techniques to discern and treat the root of a person’s illness.

In 1981, he brought qigong to the Washington, D.C. area from his hometown, Beijing. He has taught both qigong and tai chi to thousands in the Washington DC and Montgomery County area.

“The art of Chinese Medicine is its ability to discern the cause of disease. But you cannot just tend to a person’s symptoms. Symptoms are neither individual nor isolated. They came from a root and developed like branches of a tree.“ --Nianzu Li, L.Ac

Peggy Li, Qigong/Tai Chi Senior Instructor and SHHC Co-Director: Peggy Li brings to her clients and students a multidisciplinary understanding of energy and the human body, developed over the last 35 years through the study, practice and teaching of acupressure massage, foot reflexology, holistic nutrition and qi exercise.

Mrs. Li began studies in oriental healing in 1973 and today is particularly interested in educating others about self care and the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine.

She has been a practitioner of tai chi and qigong for 28 years.

Peggy Li, C.M.T.
“I have an abiding faith in the individual’s natural and enduring ability to heal at all levels. Working with the body and its energy system is a true and direct way to enter that door. There is no limit to the harmony and strength we can create within ourselves." ---Peggy Li
